AGGRESSIVE FORGIVENESS

I was going through the Word of God some days ago, and I found something precious which I would like to share with you today. I've always read Romans chapter five before now, and its an inspiring portion of scripture about the justification that is in Christ Jesus and the abundant love of God coupled with the extravagant grace which we also receive in Him. Only this time around, I decided to read it in a new and simple-to-understand translation.

Thank God for the King James Version. Its a great translation of the Bible. But I think the church should be more concerned about clarity of the Word of God in our day. There are many gems in the Word of God that slip above our heads simply because we do not read It with simple enough English translations. You'll be amazed at how much understanding you'll receive from the Word if you'll spend some time to compare translations. Anyway, as I read through Romans 5, I came to verse 20 where it says: "Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:" It sounded normal and ordinary to me until I read it in the "Message" translation (MSG). Read it for yourself.

"All that passing laws against sin did was produce more lawbreakers. But sin didn't, and doesn't, have a chance in competition with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When it's sin versus grace, grace wins hands down." Romans 5:20 (MSG)

When I saw this, the Holy Spirit began to minister to my heart the truth I am about to share with you now. If God is a good, loving, merciful, kind and righteous God, why do people run away from Him instead of towards Him? Think about that. Why do people feel more at home with doing the bidding of Satan rather than God's? Have you noticed that people "seem" to be more at ease with Satan than with God? The answer is what the Holy Spirit showed me from that scripture.

People think God is angry and mad at them because they are sinners. They think God does not even want to hear the mere mention if their names because they have committed unpardonable sins and that they are doomed forever. Many have even stopped going to church out of the sincerity of their hearts thinking "I must be a devil to hear all this teaching and preaching only to go back and lead this kind of life." They think "why should I continue in this hypocritical lifestyle of going to church as though I was a saint but in the secret, I have all these darkness, evil, addiction and wickedness. Its better to stay away from God and to stop deceiving myself and everyone around." What a pity! Religious Christianity does not even help the issue. They tell people that God is angry with them and that their sin separates Him from them. They say the wages of sin is death, but they forget to complete the same verse that says that the gift of God is eternal life. (see Romans 6:23)

Now, what caught my attention in Romans 5:20? Its that little description of the grace of God to be "AGGRESSIVE FORGIVENESS." God is not in the business of destroying His people or punishing them for their sins; He is in the business of AGGRESSIVE FORGIVENESS. The word aggressive means to be 'forceful' about something, to be 'self assertive' or to be on the 'offensive' about something. Good News! God is on the offensive against sin for your sake. He is forcefully destroying the claims of sin and death on your behalf. He is enforcing His mercy and His grace on your behalf. He's not holding your sins against you, He's forgiving them! You may say 'what have I done to deserve that?' Nothing, emphatically NOTHING.

Your sins are forgiven and cancelled completely because of what Jesus did on the cross for you, not because of what you did or didn't do. God would have to apologize to Jesus today if He still held you accountable for your sins. You don't have to believe me, just look at it for yourself in the Bible, then you can believe.

'But all things are from God. Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with him]. It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, NOT COUNTING UP AND HOLDING AGAINST [MEN] THEIR TRESPASSES [BUT CANCELLING THEM], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor) 2Corithians 5:18,19 AMPLIFIED BIBLE (Emphasis mine)

Wow! Did you see that? God is not counting up or holding against you your trespasses, but He is aggressively forgiving you. Why? So that He can restore you back to favor with Himself, so that He can restore you back to a Father and Child relationship with Himself. The cross of Jesus was not in vain. Christ didn't die only for you to work to earn relationship with God and make heaven by your own efforts. No! No, No, No, a thousand times No. If you could, there would have not been any need for His death. All you have to do today is to stop striving, struggling and trying to make it work. Only see this truth of what Jesus has done, believe it and receive it in Christ. This is the key to an effortless love-based relationship with the Father. Every other form of relationship with Him will be fear-based. Obeying Him because we are afraid He'll send us to hell if we don't.

Say this out loud: Lord Jesus, I realize today that by strength shall no man prevail. I see now that my right standing with the Father is not based on what I can achieve, but on what you have done. I now know that God is not angry with me and He's not holding my sins against me, but He's forgiving me aggressively and cancelling them out because of what you did for me. Thank you for your eternal sacrifice. Today, I boldly receive God's love and favor towards and for me. I receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness and I become a messenger to tell others about your gracious love, tender mercies and aggressive forgiveness in Christ Jesus. Thank you Jesus for revealing these things to me. In Jesus name, amen.

Thanks for taking out time to read this. I am sure you are blessed. You can call or send a text to this number to let me know what God has done through this post +2348068253270, +2348114427241. Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven. For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as
My followers) in (into) My name, there I AM in the midst of them.
Matthew 21:21Amplified Bible (AMP)

Mark 11:23-24Amplified Bible (AMP)
Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. you will [get it].

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
Romans 4:19-21Amplified Bible (AMP)
He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah's [deadened] womb. No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God, Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to
keep His word and to do what He had promised.
Romans 8:11Amplified Bible (AMP)
And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.
2 Corinthians 1:20Amplified Bible (AMP)
For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5Amplified Bible (AMP)

For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),
Galatians 3:13Amplified Bible (AMP)
Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by
[Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified);
Ephesians 6:10-17Amplified Bible (AMP)
In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]. Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master
spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]. Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon
which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.
Philippians 1:6Amplified Bible (AMP)
And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.
Philippians 2:13Amplified Bible (AMP)
[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to
work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.
Philippians 4:6-8Amplified Bible (AMP)
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of
reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].
2 Timothy 1:7Amplified Bible (AMP)
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
Hebrews 10:23, 25Amplified Bible (AMP)
So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish
and confess and our acknowledgment of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:35Amplified Bible (AMP)
Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.
Hebrews 11:11Amplified Bible (AMP)
Because of faith also Sarah herself received physical power to conceive a child, even when she was long past the age for it, because she considered [God]
Who had given her the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word.
Hebrews 13:8Amplified Bible (AMP)
Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages).
James 1:5Amplified Bible (AMP)
If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.
James 3:17Amplified Bible (AMP)
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled); then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is
willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion and good fruits; it is wholehearted and straightforward, impartial and unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering, and insincerity).
James 4:7-8Amplified Bible (AMP)
So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you. Come close to God and He will come close to you. [Recognize that you are] sinners, get your soiled hands clean; [realize that you have been disloyal] wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify your hearts [of your spiritual adultery].
James 5:14-15Amplified Bible (AMP)
Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides).
And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord's name. And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
1 Peter 2:24Amplified Bible (AMP)
He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.
1 Peter 5:7-9Amplified Bible (AMP)
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares
about you watchfully. Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring in fierce hunger, seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset--rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.
1 John 3:21-22Amplified Bible (AMP)
And, beloved, if our consciences (our hearts) do not accuse us [if they do not make us feel guilty and condemn us], we have confidence (complete assurance and
boldness) before God,  And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [watchfully] obey His orders [observe His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] and [habitually] practice what is pleasing to Him.
1 John 5:14-15Amplified Bible (AMP)
And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.

3 John 1:2Amplified Bible (AMP)
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.
Revelation 12:11Amplified Bible (AMP)
And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].

Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. ( James 5:14-15 NKJV)
Jesus has already paid the price for your healing. who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having
died to sins, might live for righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed. ( 1 Pet  2:24 NKJV)
Be confident in your prayers. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. ( 1 John 5:14-15 NKJV)
God answers the prayers of those that keep His commandments. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. ( 1  John 3:21-22 NKJV)

Fear is not of God. Rebuke it! For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. ( 2 Tim  1:7 NKJV)
Cast down those thoughts and imaginations that don't line up with the Word of God. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, ( 2 Cor 10:4-5  NKJV)
Be strong in the Lord's power. Put on His armor to fight for healing. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the
power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of
the Spirit, which is the word of God; ( Eph  6:10-17 NKJV)
Give testimony of your healing. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. ( Rev 12:11 NKJV)
Your sickness will leave and not come back again. What do you conspire against the LORD? He will make an utter end of it. Affliction will not rise up a second time. ( Nahum 1:9 NKJV)

WORKS AND WAGES VERSUS GIVING AND RECEIVING

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 KJV

If I go to church more, pay my tithe regularly, do more charitable deed, read my Bible more, pray longer and worship God long enough, maybe and just maybe God will be happier with me. That's the mentality of most christians today. A lot of people have disqualified themselves from receiving God's best simply because they feel they haven't worked hard enough to deserve it. My question to you today is; how hard is hard enough, how good is good enough and how much is enough for you to earn and deserve God's goodwill and favor. How far do you have to go to please God and be perfect before Him.

Our God is a perfect and righteous God (see Matt. 5:48). His standard cannot be compromised and no mortal man on this earth has the ability or capability to satisfy Him. The Bible says the best of our righteousness is as good as a filthy rag (see Isaiah 64:6).

As long as you try to earn the goodness of the Lord by your good works and efforts, then you'll get what you deserve.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Romans 4:4,5 (KJV)
If you're a hard worker and do a good job, you deserve your pay; we don't call your wages a gift.  But if you see that the job is too big for you, that it's something only God can do, and you trust him to do it--you could never do it for yourself no matter how hard and long you worked--well, that trusting-him-to-do-it is what gets you set right with God, by God. Sheer gift. Romans 4:4,5 (MSG)

In the Old Testament, the children of Israel had a works-and-wages kind of relationship with God because the Law was in between them. They got what they deserved for their works, even though God was still merciful to them by establishing the priesthood and sacrifices (which was a picture of Jesus and His ministry) to make atonement for their shortcomings so that He can still show mercy to them. They were blessed when they obeyed, but cursed when they disobeyed.

In the New Testament however, we have a giving-and-receiving kind of relationship. God is the giver and we are the receivers. If you check through the New Testament pages of your Bible, you'll find that God is a perpetual giver. He has given us all things to enjoy in the New Testament. Its a New Kind of relationship.
We got the basics from Moses, and then this EXUBERANT GIVING AND RECEIVING, This endless knowing and understanding-- all this came through Jesus, the Messiah. John 1:17 (MSG) Emphasis mine.

Notice how the Word of God describes this new relationship we have with God which was brought to us by Christ Jesus- its called an exuberant giving and receiving relationship.

Take a look at a few scriptures from the New Testament that will make this clearer to you.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he GAVE his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to GIVE GOOD GIFTS unto your children: HOW MUCH MORE shall your heavenly Father GIVE the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's GOOD PLEASURE TO GIVE YOU the kingdom.

James 1:17 EVERY GOOD GIFT and EVERY PERFECT GIFT is from above, and COMETH down FROM THE FATHER of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more THEY WHICH RECEIVE abundance of grace and of THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Romans 6:23 For the WAGES of sin is death; but THE GIFT OF GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Did you notice that in all and every of those scriptures, God is on the giving side? Our requirement in the New Testament is to receive what He has done for us in Christ Jesus. Its an error to try and earn His goodness in the New Testament. Our praying and studying the Bible or giving and tithing should not be to try and earn His goodwill and blessing, it should be because we love Him for first loving us.

When Zacchaeus experienced the goodness, kindness and mercy of a loving savior, it opened up his wallet automatically. Jesus didn't have to tell him to give, he just gave because he was overwhelmed that Jesus could come into the house of an undeserving sinner like himself. That led him to give back four times to the people he had robbed and cheated.

Your highness, only the grace and love of God can make you pleasing and satisfactory to God. If you can see and receive His grace, you'll notice that your prayer life will change, your study habit will improve and you'll give freely to the Cause of the Lord. Read this:
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Romans 11:6 (KJV)

Today, God is calling you into a relationship of exuberant giving and receiving with Him. Will you say yes? If you have not yet receive God's best and biggest gift- Christ Jesus, you can say this now and receive Him instantly:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for calling me into this amazing and exuberant giving and receiving relationship with you in Christ Jesus. Today, I believe that you gave Jesus for my sake. I receiving Him into my heart and life and I confess Him as my Lord and eternal savior. I receive everything you have deposited for me in Christ and I live the abundant life to the fullest in Jesus name. Thank you Jesus for grace. Amen

I believe things are turning around for good in your life because you just made that confession. I am happy for you. Please call me or send me a text to let me know what God has done in your life through this post:

BOOK REVIEW: WILL THE REAL GOD PLEASE STAND UP?

WILL THE REAL GOD PLEASE STAND UP?
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are all over His works. Psalm 145:8,9 AMP
Ever since the Garden of Eden, the devil has been devising schemes to separate people from God. And the one scheme that seem to have worked the best for him is causing them to doubt God's goodness. He has been using it ever since it succeeded with Adam and Eve.
I'm sure you know the story. God provided a perfect place for Adam and Eve to live. He had given them everything they needed to live perfectly blessed and prosperous lives. There was only one restriction. The Lord told them not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, warning them that if they did, they would immediately die.
Do you remember what Satan told Eve when he tempted her to violate that one command? He said "You shall not surely die, for God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing...good and evil" (Gen. 3:4,5). In other words, the devil said, "Listen, Eve, God lied to you. He's not trying to protect you from harm. He's trying to deprive you of something wonderful. He has pulled the wool over your eyes. He not as good as you think He is."
Eve fell for it, then Adam. By their sin the whole human race was sentenced to spiritual death. And the devil has been causing people to doubt God ever since.
Religions-even those based on Christianity - have portrayed God in ways that are totally contrary to the truths revealed by the Bible. Religious art, for example, often pictures everybody sad. It shows the Virgin Mary sad, baby Jesus sad, all the apostles and angels sad.
Religious traditions taught by long-faced, angry preachers have represented God as mad at the whole human race and looking furiously for someone to punish. The impression they give people is that God is in a bad mood, and you had better be very careful around Him because you don't want to irritate Him any further. Along those same lines, someone even wrote a song that the radio stations played some years ago. The chorus threatened, "God's gonna get you for that!"
Of course it is not just Christian religion that has depicted God as angry and vindictive. Heathen religions depict their gods that way too. The difference is, that is an accurate picture of their gods, because they are not gods at all- they are demonic spirits. People who worshipped demon gods throughout history often believed they had to hurt themselves or someone they loved in some way, in order to appease their god's anger. Heathen worship in the Old Testament times required people to sacrifice their own children, burning them in fire on the altars of false gods. It was a terrible thing.
Other pagan gods were not so harsh, yet it seemed they all needed something, offering of fruits or gifts of some kind, to make them happy. But our God is not like that! We don't have to do penance or make sacrifice to appease Him. He himself has already provided the sacrifice for son in the person of His son. In fact, the Bible says that God
Through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor; brought us into harmony with Himself]... It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of restoration to favor) 2 Corinthians 5:18,19 AMP
The moment we received Jesus as Savior and Lord, we find that God is already happy with us. We don't have to bring Him plates of fruit to make Him happy. He's already happy.
Actually, if you want to see most clearly what God is really like, all you have to do is study love because the Bible says, "God is love" ( 1 John 4:8). Many people equate God more with power than anything else. Though the scripture clearly teaches that God has great power, I am not aware of a verse that says He is power, but it does say He is love. First Corinthians 13 provides us with the description we need.
That should be easy for us to understand. We are the same way with our children... We love our children. It delights us to do good things for them... According to psalm 103:13 NASB, God is this way towards us: "just as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear Him." He wants us as His born again children to do well in life. He is not trying to keep us under His thumb by making us worship and obey Him. He is endeavoring to get us in the place where He can safely give us every good and perfect gift.
If you have been living a disobedient and rebellious life, right now you might be thinking, well, that's it for me. I've been doing things God didn't want me to do for years. I've disobeyed about every commandment I know. I guess I can't expect to receive anything from God.
Yes you can! And if you will look back at that passage in 1 Corinthians 13 again, you will see why. It says love is "not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]." God is always forgiving. The blood of Jesus washes away every sin, and no mercy is held back when you turn to God in Jesus' Name to repent of the wrong done.
" But I've failed so many times" you might say. "God has had to put up with more trouble from me than you can imagine. I'm sure He's given up on me by now."
No He has not. I know He has not because "love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails." You and I might look at our lives and think there's no hope left for us. We might think we will never amount to anything. But God's hopes are fadeless where we are concerned. He sees what we can be in Him.
If you have been in bondage to fear of the wrath of God because of your shortcomings, you can return to Him today, knowing that He is not angry with you, but longing for you. Simply say this:
Lord Jesus, I know I have come short and sinned against you. But I also know now that you love me beyond my faults. You died and paid the ultimate price for my sins. Today, I receive complete forgiveness for my sins by faith in the finished work of Jesus. I declare that I am purified and cleansed by your precious blood, I am your righteousness in Christ Jesus today, and I receive your undying grace and mercy that brings the sweet relationship and fellowship of love between us in Jesus' Name. I love you lord, Amen.

BOOK REVIEW: SEE YOURSELF THE WAY GOD SEES YOU

"Righteousness" is a legal term. It means to have right standing before God. Vine's Expository Dictionary of Biblical  Words defines righteousness as "that gracious gift of God to men whereby all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ are brought into right relationship with God". In order words, your right standing before God is based upon Jesus' right standing before God.
Today, you are as righteous as Jesus because your righteousness is from Him. He purchased it for you at the cross. When you received Him as your Lord and Savior, He took away all your unrighteousness once and for all and gave you His gift of righteousness. This righteousness is something that you can never obtain or achieve through your right doing; it can only be received by your right believing in Jesus.
And do you know what happens when your receive this gift of righteousness? The Bible declares that "those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ" (Rom. 5:17). Hey, when you reign, your addictions don't. When you reign, sicknesses don't. When your reign, fear, depression, and every obstacle that is obstructing you from living your life to the fullest will be torn down and flushed out.
There is so much teaching today on right doing, but the answer is found in right believing about your right standing in Christ. This is why it is so important for you to remember this: your righteousness (right standing) is a gift.
So many people are struggling today because they are trying through their own obedience, efforts and abilities, to earn their right standing before God. Out of the sincerity of their hearts, they believe that by performing more good deeds, by becoming more obedient, by giving up more for Jesus, by praying and serving God more, God will bless them. Please here me out here. I am all for doing all of that. But if you believe that these things will earn you righteousness, that's when it becomes a problem.
As good as all the above sounds, when people fail to be obedient (which they will), when they fail to vive up more for Jesus (which they will), and when they don't pray "enough," read the Bible "enough," and serve in church "enough," they will begin to consciously or unconsciously disqualify themselves from God's love, presence, and blessings. And who determines what is "enough," anyway? The accuser of the brethren will take every opportunity to condemn believers for never doing "enough." when that happens, they will begin to fall into the trap of guilt, inferiority, condemnation, and shame.
That is the problem. When someone bases their relationship with God on their own merits, they will always fall short. That's the old covenant way-do right, and God will bless you; do wrong, and you will be cursed. Unfortunately, man has no ability to deserve God's blessing through his actions. Even under the old covenant, no one was blessed because they obeyed God perfectly. They were blessed because of the temporary righteousness that they received through the blood of bulls and goats. The blood from these animal sacrifices was merely a shadow of the blood that Jesus would finally shed at the cross to purchase for us the gift of everlasting righteousness. Do you see? Then and now, right standing with God cannot be merited; it is a gift from Him, based on his unmerited favor.
Once, the Lord showed me a vision of what happened at the cross. I saw how all the sins of the entire human race (lies ,deceit, envy, bitterness, adultery, addiction, bondage, murder) and all the consequences of sin (fear, sicknesses, guilt, disease, and condemnation) swirled around Jesus like evil spirits and demons, laughing heinously, taunting and tormenting Him. Jesus became like a magnet for all sin and of His own volition accepted all this sin into His own body.
You and I will never be able to imagine the excruciating pain that tore through His body at the cross. Every malignant cancer, every tumor, every sickness, and every disease also came upon Him at the same time. He who knew neo sin took upon Himself the mountainous weight of all men's darkest and foulest sins. He took it all Himself.
The Word says that "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses" (Matt. 8:17). "Himself"- a singular, reflexive pronoun that signifies the exclusion of you and me. Since He Himself has taken the full punishment, judgement, and condemnation for all sin, you and I are excluded from every punishment, judgment, and condemnation for all sin when we receive Him as our Savior.
But the story did not end there. Jesus did not die on the cross at the middle of receiving upon Himself all of humanity's sins. He took it all and accepted it all in His body. Then the fire of God's judgement was unleashe upon His own precious Son, and only when every last sin had been punished did Jesus cry out, "IT IS FINISHED!" moments befor breathing His last breath (see John 19:30). Can you see that? Jesus held on at the cross until every single sin that you have ever committed and will ever commit was punished in His own body. That is why we call what Jesus has accomplished at the cross a "finished work."
Now, what is your part today? Your part is to believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life and that all your sins have been paid for at the cross. If you believe that all your sins have been forgiven, sin will have no more power over you. You don't have to walk around with "a mountain of sin" on your shoulders anymore because this "mountain of sin" was laid squarely on he shoulders of another-Jesus. He Himself has already paid the price for your sins, so stop condemning yourself.
Today, when you look into the mirror, what do you see? Do you see yourself trapped in all your failings, mistakes, and sins? Or do you see what God sees?
My dear friend, when God sees you today, He sees Jesus. Use your eyes of faith and believe that as Jesus is, so are you. In God's eyes, you are righteous, you are favored, and blessed, and you are healed. You are freed from all sin, all pangs of guilt, all forms of condemnation, and every bondage of addiction!

RECEIVING GOD'S BEST

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)

According to the words of Jesus, the most important thing that a believer must pursue and live in, is the Kingdom of God and its righteousness. You may think in your mind and say "well, I thought the most important thing for a believer to seek after is Holiness or power or even love". Well those are great spiritual virtues, but our King and saviour explicitly instructed us to pursue the kingdom. This is no wonder why Jesus spoke more about the Kingdom than any other topic during his earthly ministry, he told more parables about the kingdom during his earthly ministry and preached ONLY the gospel of the kingdom.
Infact, he told us specifically, that his return will not be determined by the events that go on in the world, but by the advancement of the gospel of the Kingdom by the church which is his body.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Matthew 24)
The kingdom of God is the answer to any and all of the problems of mankind. The loss of God's kingdom on the earth has led us to create all kinds of governments and systems which in turn breeds all manner of dissatisfaction, rebellion, crime and wickedness.

Everything God has to offer mankind is packaged in Christ Jesus in the kingdom. Receiving Christ is receiving God's best. "For God so loved the world..." He didn't give us a religion, He didn't give us money or good health or peace and prosperity, He gave us His SON. This means that Jesus is God's best gift. Everything we can ever desire of God is wrapped up in Christ. If you receive Christ, then you have life, good health, prosperity, success etc.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?  Romans 8:32
Notice that with Jesus, God gives us all things FREELY. Hallelujah! God doesn't want you to pay for anything that you might want to receive from him, He gives it to you FREELY because JESUS has not only paid for it, but HE IS THE PAYMENT FOR IT.

God does not have to see your good deeds or how righteous you are to bless you. His blessing on and to you is completely a gift independent of what you have done right or wrong. His blessing totally depends on what Jesus has done on your behalf.
Your highness, God is not angry with you today! That pain, sorrow, heartbreak, struggle, lack, sickness and unhappiness you are experiencing is NOT from Him. He's not punishing you for you sins, He already punished Jesus on your behalf.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:3-12
Notice how the Word of God says Jesus has borne ALL our grief and sorrow; that the Lord had laid on him the iniquities (sins) of US ALL; how it PLEASED THE LORD to bruise him; how the Lord sees the travail of His soul and his anger against sin is satisfied once and for all; how He was not a sinner, but took all these harsh conditions on himself just to make us right with God. Oh what manner of love is this? God would be unfair to punish Jesus for all my sin and yet turn around to punish me again for the same sin. God is not a wicked and unrighteous God.
Therefore if God could give Jesus to the world, he can give anything good to you. Jesus is God's complete gift to you. If you receive Jesus today, then you have received whatever else you desire for God. God does not demand anything from you, He is rather giving everything TO YOU.
All you need to do is BELIEVE that Jesus did it all for you, and CONFESS him as Lord over your life.

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:10)

Satan is the one who afflicts people with suffering and sorrows. His end game is to make you think God is afflicting you because of your sins and therefore, make you comfortable with it and distracted from the real cause which is him. But the bible says:
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11

When we are ignorant of Satan's tactics he takes advantage of us. However, we are to
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
Now that you know that God is for you and not against you; that He has already given you his best, but there is a wicked deceiver who is called Satan and you have the authority to resist him,  why don't you refuse to experience another second of pain and suffering and just reject all of Satan's lies.
I see you blessed, I see you joyful, I see you full of the blessing of the Lord, abounding in Love and faithfully serving the Lord. Remember YOU are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

(2 Corinthians 2:11)
